We strongly recommend installing a lightning diverter as a means of first defense where your energizer's leadout wire joins your fence.
You must install as many ground rods for your lightning diverters as you installed for your energizer. The energizer's ground field must be independent and separated by a gap of no less than 50' from the lightning diverter's ground field.
